A New Year, New Adventures

2018 started with a bang, quite literally, as we rang in the new year with a family trip to watch the NYE fireworks in New York City. The kids' faces were a picture of pure joy as they watched the spectacular display light up the night sky. It was a Willis family update we'll never forget.

But that was just the beginning. We had so much planned for 2018, and we're excited to share it all with you.

The Kids' Big Year

Little Miss Graduates

Our little princess turned 5 in 2018, and with that came her kindergarten graduation. We couldn't believe how quickly she had grown, and we were so proud to see her receive her diploma. She's already counting down the days until she starts 'real school' next year. We can't wait to see her grow even more!

Big Brother's Big Adventure

Our oldest started middle school in 2018, and boy, did he have a growth spurt! Not only did he grow several inches, but he also started playing baseball for the first time. We were amazed at how quickly he picked up the sport, and we loved cheering him on from the sidelines.

The Parents' Big Year

Guys, we have some big news! After years of hard work and dedication, our amazing wife and mom got a promotion at work. She's now the director of her department, and we couldn't be prouder. We know she's going to do an incredible job, and we're so excited to see all the amazing things she'll accomplish.

Dad's Midlife Crisis... or Not

So, you might have heard that turning 40 can be a bit of a wake-up call. Well, I'm here to tell you that it's not as bad as they say. Yes, I had a few late-night existential crises, but at the end of the day, I'm grateful for the life I have and the family I get to share it with.

And no, I didn't buy a sports car or get a tattoo. I did, however, start running again, which was a big deal for this former couch potato. Baby steps, right?

Family Fun: Our Favorite Memories

But enough about us. Let's talk about the fun stuff! We had so many amazing family moments in 2018, and we want to share some of our favorites with you.

Camp Willis

Every summer, we head up to our family's cabin in the woods for a week of camping and quality time. This year was no exception, and we had a blast. From smores by the fire to hiking in the great outdoors, it was a week we'll never forget.

The Great Road Trip

In the fall, we loaded up the car and hit the road for a cross-country adventure. We visited national parks, tried local cuisine, and made memories that will last a lifetime. It was a Willis family update for the books!

Looking Ahead to 2019

And that, my friends, was our Willis Family Update 2018. It was a year filled with love, laughter, and plenty of adventures. We can't wait to see what 2019 has in store for us.
