The Night of the Semi-Finals
Last week's show was a nail-biter, folks! It was the semi-finals, and our remaining couples were giving it their all. The pressure was on, and the competition was fierce. Let's take a look at who danced their hearts out and who had to hang up their dancing shoes.
The Dances
Our couples took on two dances each. The first was a redemption dance, where they revisited a dance from earlier in the season and improved upon it. The second was a fusion dance, a brand new style created just for them by the show's choreographers.
Redemption Dances
- Kaitlyn & Artem - They revisited their Quickstep from Week 3 and added some sass and sparkle. It was a crowd-pleaser, for sure! - Justina & Sasha - These two went back to their Tango from Week 4 and turned up the heat. It was smoldering! - Nelly & Daniella - They revisited their Foxtrot from Week 2 and added some pep and personality. It was a joy to watch! - Cody & Cheryl - They took on their Jive from Week 5 again and added some razzle-dazzle. It was electric!
Fusion Dances
- Kaitlyn & Artem - They fused the Tango with the Argentine Tango. It was intense and dramatic! - Justina & Sasha - These two fused the Samba with the Cha Cha. It was a party on the dance floor! - Nelly & Daniella - They fused the Contemporary with the Hip-Hop. It was emotional and powerful! - Cody & Cheryl - They fused the Viennese Waltz with the Jazz. The Results
After all that dancing, it was time for the judges' scores and America's votes to be combined. The couple with the lowest combined score would be going home. The pressure was palpable!
The Bottom Two
It was a tough call, but the judges and America agreed that two couples had to face off in the dance-off for the last spot in next week's finale.
- Nelly & Daniella - They had to dance their hearts out one more time to stay in the competition. - Cody & Cheryl - These two had to dig deep and give it their all to secure their spot in the finale.
