Meanwhile, Vivien Harmon finds herself pregnant with Thredson's child (a serial killer, but we'll get to that later).
As the Harmons' lives unravel, so does the house's facade, revealing its true nature as a portal to hell. In the season finale, the ghosts convince Vivien to give birth in the house, binding her child to it forever. The season ends with the Harmons becoming the house's newest residents, trapped in an eternal cycle of torment.
Asylum (Season 2)
Fast forward to 1964, we find ourselves in Briarcliff Manor, a mental institution run by the enigmatic Sister Jude Martin. The season follows Kit Walker, a man accused of murdering his pregnant wife, and Monsignor Timothy Howard, who's investigating the institution's dark secrets.
Briarcliff is no ordinary asylum. It's home to the monstrous Bloody Face, a serial killer with a penchant for skinning his victims, and Thredson, the same doctor from Murder House who impregnated Vivien. The season is filled with twists, turns, and shocking revelations, including the truth behind Sister Mary Eunice's transformation into a demon.
In the end, Kit escapes Briarcliff, leaving behind a trail of carnage, and the institution burns to the ground. But the real kicker? The final scene reveals that Lana, one of the patients, is alive and well, living under an assumed identity. And she's not alone. Thredson, now known as Bloody Face II, is also on the loose.
Coven (Season 3)
Welcome to New Orleans, 2013. Witches have been hunted for centuries, and the remaining members of the Salem witches' descendants live in secret, led by the enigmatic Fiona Goode. Enter Cordelia Foxx, Fiona's daughter and the new Supreme (the most powerful witch), who must navigate the coven's politics and protect them from external threats.
The season is filled with power struggles, alliances, and betrayals, as the witches face off against a variety of foes, including the Axeman, a serial killer who can't be harmed by metal, and Marie Delphine LaLaurie, a historical figure and fellow witch with a penchant for torture.
In the end, Fiona sacrifices herself to save the coven, and Cordelia takes her place as Supreme. But the real shocker? The season finale reveals that the Hurricane, the event that kickstarted the season, was caused by the Harmon family ghosts from Murder House. Looks like our favorite ghosts are back, and they're causing chaos once again.
Freak Show (Season 4)
It's 1952 in Jupiter, Florida, and One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest meets Side Show in this circus-themed season. Jessica Lange returns as Elsa Mars, the ringmaster of the struggling Freak Show, a troupe of performers with unique abilities and appearances.
The season follows the freaks as they deal with external threats, including the Tentacle Man, a mutated creature, and the Twins, two sadistic clowns with a penchant for murder. But the real danger comes from within, as the freaks turn on each other in a bid for power and survival.
In the end, the Freak Show is shut down, and the survivors go their separate ways. But before you think it's all over, the season finale reveals that Dandy Mott, the wealthy psychopath who's been wreaking havoc throughout the season, is still alive. And he's got a new target: the Harmon family ghosts.
Hotel (Season 5)
Welcome to the Hotel Cortez, a haunted hotel in Los Angeles run by the enigmatic Countess Elizabeth Johnson. The season follows Sally, a woman who's been murdered and trapped in the hotel for 100 years, as she tries to uncover the truth behind her death and escape the hotel's clutches.
The Hotel is filled with ghosts, each with their own dark past and twisted agenda. Among them are James Patrick March, the hotel's founder and a sadistic serial killer, and John Lowe, a detective who's been unknowingly committing the Ten Commandments Murders under March's influence.
As the season progresses, Sally and the other guests must navigate the hotel's dark corridors and survive its deadly inhabitants. In the end, Sally finally escapes the Hotel, but not before the Countess and March meet their demise. Or do they? The season finale reveals that the Hotel has been transported to Roanoke, setting the stage for the next season.
Roanoke (Season 6)
In the chilling Roanoke, we follow the Miller family as they move into a house in North Carolina, only to be terrorized by a group of Butcher and her Piggy Men. The season is presented as a documentary, with the Millers recounting their experiences in interviews interspersed with reenactments.
The season takes a dark turn when the Millers, along with their friends Piggy Man, Daughter, Bubble, and Polk, are forced to play a deadly game of survival. In the end, the Millers manage to escape the house, but not before Shelby is killed and Matt is left for dead.
But the real kicker? The season finale reveals that the entire season was a hoax, created by Patti LuPone and Evan Peters to promote their new reality show. Or was it? The final scene reveals that the Millers are still alive, and they're not happy about being tricked.
Cult (Season 7)
In the aftermath of the 2016 U.S. Presidential Election, Ally Mayfair-Richards and her wife, IVY, are terrorized by a group of Cult members dressed as Clowns. As Ally descends into paranoia, she becomes convinced that the Cult is out to get her and her family.
The season follows Ally as she tries to uncover the truth behind the Cult and protect her family. Along the way, she crosses paths with a variety of characters, including Evan Peters as James Patrick March (yes, the same March from Hotel), Kathy Bates as Delphine LaLaurie (yep, the same LaLaurie from Coven), and Billy Eichner as Billy Porter.
In the end, Ally manages to defeat the Cult and save her family, but not before the season finale reveals that the entire season was a ruse by Cotton and Bebe to create a new Cult leader. And who better than Ally herself?
Apocalypse (Season 8)
In the Apocalypse, the world is on the brink of destruction, and Coven's Cordelia Foxx and Myrtle Snow must work together to prevent the end of days. Meanwhile, Outpost 3 is a post-apocalyptic haven where the Cooperative is experimenting on humans to create a new race.
The season is filled with twists, turns, and shocking revelations, including the return of Michael Langdon, the Anti-Christ from Murder House, and the Harmon family ghosts. In the end, Cordelia and her allies manage to defeat Michael and save the world, but not before the season finale reveals that the Apocalypse was all part of a plan by the Cooperative to create a new world order.
Double Feature (Season 10)
In the Double Feature, we follow Tuberculosis Karen and her family as they move to a beach town in hopes of finding a cure for her illness. But the town has a dark secret, and the family soon finds themselves in a fight for survival against a group of Sea People.
The season is divided into two parts, Red Tide and Death Valley, each with its own unique story and themes. In the end, the family manages to escape the beach town, but not before the season finale reveals that the Sea People are just the beginning of a much larger threat.
