The Zoom Setup: A Glimpse into Lukas' World
As we waited for Lukas to join the call, we couldn't help but notice the simple yet cozy setup behind us. A bookshelf filled with an eclectic mix of books, a couple of framed photos, and a potted plant added a touch of warmth to the otherwise sterile Zoom background. It was clear that Lukas had put some thought into his setup, and it was refreshing to see that even a Hollywood heartthrob like him values a bit of greenery in his life.
Lukas: Smiling "Hey, guys! Sorry for the delay. I was just trying to figure out how to use this newfangled technology. You know, us actors, we're not exactly known for our tech-savviness."
And with that, our interview kicked off with a laugh.
From 'Euphoria' to 'The White Lotus': Lukas' Journey
We started off by asking Lukas about his journey so far. From his breakthrough role in "Euphoria" to his recent stint in "The White Lotus," it's been quite a ride for this 25-year-old actor.
Lukas: "It's been crazy, honestly. I mean, I've been acting since I was a kid, but it's only recently that things have started to pick up. 'Euphoria' was a game-changer for me. I mean, who wouldn't want to work with people like Zendaya and Sam Levinson? And then 'The White Lotus' came along, and it was just this perfect storm of amazing writing, incredible cast, and a lot of laughs. I feel really lucky to have been a part of both these projects."
The Art of Method Acting: Lukas' Approach
We were curious to know more about Lukas' approach to acting. Does he prefer the method approach, or does he prefer to keep things light and separate his personal life from his characters?
Lukas: "You know, I think it varies from role to role. For 'Euphoria,' I definitely did a lot of research and tried to understand my character from the inside out. But with 'The White Lotus,' it was more about finding the humor in the situation and not taking things too seriously. I mean, it's a comedy after all. But at the end of the day, I think the most important thing is to be true to the character and to the story you're telling."
Life Behind the Scenes: Lukas' Hobbies and Interests
We took a break from the serious acting talk to ask Lukas about his hobbies and interests. It turns out, this Hollywood heartthrob is quite the Renaissance man.
Lukas: "I love reading, I'm a big bookworm. I also play the guitar, though I'm not very good at it. Laughs And I'm trying to get into painting. I find it really therapeutic. Oh, and I'm a big foodie. I love trying out new restaurants and cuisines. If I wasn't an actor, I'd probably be a chef or a food critic."
The Future: What's Next for Lukas Gage?
As our interview was drawing to a close, we couldn't help but ask Lukas about his plans for the future.
Lukas: "Well, I've got a few projects in the pipeline that I'm really excited about. I can't reveal too much just yet, but I promise you guys, it's going to be worth the wait. Apart from that, I just want to keep challenging myself as an actor and continuing to grow and learn. I feel like I'm just getting started, you know?"
And with that, our Zoom interview came to an end. But we sure hope it's not the last time we get to chat with this talented and charming young man.
