FDR, our longest-serving president, was in office from March 4, 1933, to April 12, 1945. That's 12 whole years, folks! He was elected to an unprecedented four terms in a row, guiding the US through the Great Depression and most of World War II. Talk about a heavyweight champion!

2. Grover Cleveland - 8 years, 6 months, and 14 days

Cleveland is our second-longest-serving president, with a combined total of 8 years and 6 months in office. He served two terms (1885-1889 and 1893-1897) – the only US president to do so without being consecutively elected. He was also the first Democrat to win the presidency after the Civil War.

Teddy Roosevelt served as president from September 14, 1901, to March 4, 1909. He was Vice President when McKinley was assassinated, catapulting him into the Oval Office at just 42 years old. He was re-elected in 1904, making him one of our youngest presidents.

Wilson served two terms from March 4, 1913, to March 4, 1921. He was a passionate advocate for world peace and was instrumental in creating the League of Nations after World War I. Unfortunately, the US Senate rejected his treaty, and the League was formed without us.
