The Disappearance of Sasha Ivanov

Sasha Ivanov, a vibrant 20-year-old student from Kyiv, Ukraine, has been missing since January 15, 2023. A Computer Science major at the University of Alberta (U of A), Sasha was last seen leaving his dorm on campus, heading towards the nearby Whyte Avenue.

Sasha, a beloved son, brother, and friend, is described as 5'10" with a slim build, short brown hair, and hazel eyes. He was last seen wearing a black coat, blue jeans, and black combat boots. He was carrying a grey backpack with the U of A logo.

The Search Efforts

Since Sasha's disappearance, his family, friends, and the U of A community have been tirelessly searching for him. The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) has been actively involved, conducting interviews and following up on leads. However, despite their best efforts, Sasha remains missing.

In response to the situation, the U of A has increased its security presence on campus and is working closely with the EPS. They have also set up a support system for students, providing counseling services and a 24/7 hotline.
