On the other side of the spectrum, we have Dr. Elara Lee, played by the fiery Thandiwe Newton. As an environmental activist, Elara is determined to protect the town's natural resources from the likes of Victor Kane. Her passion and intelligence make her a formidable opponent, and she's not afraid to ruffle a few feathers to get what she wants.
"Elara is a true hero for our times," Newton tells us. "She's smart, she's fierce, and she's not afraid to stand up for what she believes in."
3. The Mysterious Stranger - Elias Blackwood**
Adding a touch of mystery to the mix, we have Elias Blackwood, played by the captivating Idris Elba. Elias rolls into town with a secret agenda, and it's not long before he crosses paths with our main characters. But who is he really working for, and what does he want?
"Elias is a man of many faces," Elba teases. "He's got a past he's running from, and a future he's fighting for. But can he outrun his demons, or will they catch up with him in Landman?"
