Our Whirlwind European Adventure
Europe, our beloved playground for the past few months, has been treating us to a smorgasbord of experiences. From the colorful streets of Lisbon to the majestic castles of Transylvania, we've been soaking it all in like sponges.
Portugal: A Symphony of Tiles and Pastries
Kicking off our European adventure in Portugal, we fell head over heels for Lisbon's Pastel de Nata – those little custard tarts are pure heaven! We wandered through the Azulejo-lined streets, each one more vibrant than the last, and felt like we'd stepped into a real-life fairytale.
Porto, the city of bridges and port wine, was next on our list. We indulged in fado shows, let the rhythmic sound of the guitar and the soulful voice of the singer transport us to another world. And the port wine tasting? Well, let's just say we became instant connoisseurs!
Spain: Gaudí, Flamenco, and Siestas
Venturing south, we found ourselves in Barcelona, the city that's a love letter to Antoni Gaudí. We spent hours exploring Park Güell and Sagrada Família, each more breathtaking than the last. And the flamenco show in Seville? It was as fiery and passionate as they come, leaving us spellbound.
But we also learned the art of siestas – those midday naps are no joke, folks! They've got the right idea here, and we're converts.
Eastern Europe: Castles, Bears, and Communism
Our travel update wouldn't be complete without a mention of the Eastern European gems we stumbled upon. Bucharest was a fascinating blend of old and new, from the Communist-era architecture to the vibrant nightlife. And Brașov?
