Yep, you heard it right, guys. The new series, set in the same universe as the original, will introduce us to a whole new paper company. This time, though, it's not Dunder Mifflin Inc. We're talking about Paper Excellence, a startup with a fresh take on... well, paper. But don't worry, the spirit of the original is still very much alive.
Meet the New Boss
Say hello to Andy Buckley, the new boss at Paper Excellence. Yes, that's right, Dwight K. Schrute's former boss, David Wallace, is now the CEO of this new company. And if you thought Dwight was intense as an Assistant (to the) Regional Manager, just wait until you see him as the Assistant to the CEO.
The Old Gang, New Faces
While we're sad to see some of our favorite characters gone (RIP, Michael Scott), the new trailer has given us a glimpse of some familiar faces in new roles. Pam Beesly Halpert is now a successful artist, and Jim Halpert has traded his prankster ways for a career in sports marketing. But fear not, Dwight is still as eccentric as ever, and Angela Martin is still giving us those steely glares.
New Blood
But it's not just old faces, guys. The new trailer has introduced us to a whole host of new characters. There's Jake (played by B.J. Novak, who you might remember as Ryan Howard), a mysterious figure who seems to have a history with Pam. Then there's Daniel (played by Ben Feldman), a new employee who seems to be trying his best to fit in. And let's not forget Meredith (played by Kate Flannery), who's still going strong as the office's resident wild card.
The Same Old Craziness
Despite the new setting and new characters, one thing remains the same: the craziness. From Dwight's over-the-top antics to Angela's icy glares, the new trailer is filled with the kind of humor that made the original series a hit. And with Greg Daniels back at the helm as showrunner, you can bet that this new series will stay true to the spirit of the original.
