Xichang is primarily used for launching geostationary satellites and is home to the Long March 3 series of rockets.

Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center

Our tour wouldn't be complete without visiting Jiuquan, the cradle of China's space program. Situated in the Gobi Desert of Gansu Province, the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center has been the launchpad for China's most iconic missions, including the Shenzhou crewed spaceflights and the Chang'e lunar exploration missions. The center features several launch pads, including the LC-94 and LC-4 for the Long March 2F and Long March 2C rockets, respectively.
