Season by Season Breakdown
Season 1 - 2006
In the inaugural season of AGT, the Golden Buzzer made its debut. Piers Morgan, one of the original judges, was the first to use it. He hit the buzzer for Santina Porto, a young opera singer who captivated the audience with her powerful vocals. This marked the beginning of a long-standing tradition on the show.
Season 2 - 2007
Season 2 saw the introduction of another judge, David Hasselhoff, who also used his Golden Buzzer. He sent Neal E. Boyd, a gospel singer with an inspiring story, straight to the live shows. Boyd went on to become the season's runner-up, proving that the Golden Buzzer can indeed predict a successful run on the show.
Season 3 - 2008

This season also introduced the Wildcard round, where one act from the judges' Golden Buzzers could be saved and sent to the live shows. Season 4 - 2009
Season 4 was a big one for Golden Buzzers. All four judges - Piers Morgan, Sharon Osbourne, David Hasselhoff, and Howie Mandel - used theirs. Piers sent Celeste and Jason, a duo who performed a unique blend of comedy and magic, through to the live shows. Sharon used hers on Drew Thomas, a ventriloquist with a puppet named Lambchop. David sent Kevin Chalfant, a rock singer, while Howie used his on Drew Thomas - yes, the same ventriloquist Sharon had used hers on!
